personality:
More than anything, Jason constantly has something to prove, whether that be to Batman, Dick Grayson, himself, or his fellow Titans. He feels small, especially in the presence of the former Titans and acts recklessly in an attempt to prove his worth. For example, in Season 2, he goes after Dr. Light and Deathstroke alone, despite warnings to stay put and even Gar (a friend at the time)'s advice not to split up. He specifically tells Gar that he could "use a win." This results in him getting kidnapped, tortured, and used as bait for the rest of the Titans. After returning to Gotham, this need intensifies to the point that he works with Jonathan Crane (the Scarecrow) to find an antidote for his fear. He tries to persuade Bruce that he "can do this" when the Joker pops up on the radar. Rather than listening to Bruce's advice, he uses the fear antidote before self-deploying to pursue the Joker, which ends with Jason being killed. From his introduction as the "second" Robin, Jason can't shake this need to be the best, to be stronger than others expect him to be.
Jason is also incredibly impulsive. He runs in front of a TV crew to announce that "the Titans are back, bitches!" No one prompted him to do this and Hank even drags him out of the way to scold him. Doing so clues Deathstroke in to the presence of the newly-rebuilt Titans. When Jason fights, he does so without much care as to what kind of long-term damage might result from the fight. For example, Jason suplexes Dr. Light during their hand-to-hand fight, completely unfazed by the possibility of killing his opponent with the move. Additionally, Jason rides his motorcycle around Wayne Manor, goes on joyrides in the Batmobile, and picks fights with thugs despite, as mentioned in the abilities, being an entire weight class beneath them. He acts first, thinks second, and it tends to get him in a lot of trouble.
Despite his impulse and self-worth issues, Jason starts a lot of fights and is very violent. As mentioned before, he picks fights with Dr. Light, Deathstroke, Dick, other Titans, and low level thugs. Not mentioned before are cops, more cops, and yet more cops. Said cops come in to scope out the building and instead of escaping out a window, stealthing his way out of their reach, or otherwise finding a non-violent option, Jason instead chooses to beat every one of them down, again without care for long-term injuries or consequences. Additionally, in his hallucination while under the hold of Trigon, he is the only one of two Titans that kills his opponent (a hallucination of Dick Grayson). When he arrives at Titan Tower, he seeks out the dojo and nods in approval at the weapons present. As well, when he fights Dr. Light, he nearly beats him to death (after the suplex), far beyond simple submission. If Jason is put in front of a problem, he will go for violence as the answer first.
