[Jason steps through to move into the kitchen. He pulls out two beers from the back— why and where is a teenager getting beer, nobody knows— and pops the tops. He holds one out to Bruce.

( a raise of a brow at the beers being shown, he gently takes the one in hand while eyeing jason with the other. hm. )

Pretty sure you're not old enough to legally drink that.

( he needs to be a parent, ok. )

You're not supposed to be able to walk out with whatever you want without paying either.

Let me guess, you had a company come in to decorate the main floor. [Eye roll of the century before Jason polishes off his beer. Didn't he just open that? He sure did.]

The holidays never felt the same after my parents died.

( he looks down as he says that, not often talking about them with... anyone, really. )

( at that, he gives a faint smile, looking up to jason there. )

[Jason grins over at Bruce.] Sure. Whatever you want. I mean, it's not my Christmas, it's our Christmas.

( well. fair enough. smile faint, he nods then licks over his lips. )

I'm sure we'll figure it out the closer it gets.

Well, what're you doing for Thanksgiving? [Jason is already spending Halloween with Chrissy, but the other holiday is open.]

( a glance around, he shrugs with his good shoulder. )

Nothing. I didn't do anything last year here either.

Yeah, but I wasn't here last year. [Jason shrugs.]
