[Aside from his description, Chrissy has absolutely no idea what to expect with this movie, so she's just going to take his word on how scary it is.]

You know... you can hold me even if I don't get scared.

[But she's probably going to get scared.]

[All thoughts of movies goes right out the brain as Chrissy mentions holding her. He turns his head to ask for details, but when he does, he realizes just how close they are.] I can do that.

Good, because I really want you to. I just didn't want to be pushy if you weren't ready for that. [Because it's kind of a big thing, even after admitting they like each other, and she also hasn't really spent that much time wondering about his dating history.]

[Jason carefully loops an arm around her as the opening credits to SAW begin. He settles his hand on her shoulder and nudges her ever so slightly.]

I want to, so that's pretty convenient.

[Chrissy hadn't wanted to push for too much too soon, but she's also not shy about making herself at home in his personal space now that she knows it's okay. She scoots in close and leans her head against him as the movie starts.]

Yea, that works out really well for me too.

[Jason settles his hand on her shoulder as the opening of Adam's awakening plays on the screen. He is grinning from ear to ear, unable to hide how much he likes being able to hold her close.]

[Being with him like this is really nice despite what's happening on the screen right now. So she smiles and gets comfortable.]

[There's no cold open to SAW so even after Adam and Lawrence talk a bit the eponymous saws show up, pulled out of a toilet's tank.]

It's gettin' spooky.

[He squeezes her just a touch tighter at that.]

[Well, she'd been wondering how long it would take the saws to make an appearance, and it pleases her to know that she doesn't have to wait very long.]

It's gonna get a lot worse, right?

[At this point, she'd still consider it more weird than spooky, but she's not above faking it. Which is why she plays along when he holds her tighter.]

[There's talk between Adam and Lawrence before they start sawing at their chains and realize that the saws aren't sharp enough for the metal.]

Oh, it will. I mean, there's saws involved.

[Truly, this might be the wildest movie she's seen in a long time- and it's only been a few minutes. On the other hand, it does feel kind of easy to predict where this is going to go, but it's still fun so far.]

I'd say I've seen worse, but I think it's a little too early to make that call.

Just wait. They don't pull any punches.

[There's a brief jumpscare when Zep appears out of nowhere. Jason pulls Chrissy a little closer when the audio stinger hits.]

Pretty spooky.

Have you seen all of them?

[Is she going to want to see all of them? It's definitely too early to make that call, but she's curious. As it turns out, she's not immune to jumpscares, which is why she's grateful that he's promised to protect her even if he might have just been teasing her before.]

Yeah, all 7 of them. The last one's in 3D.

[Jason pulls Chrissy a little closer still, rubbing his hand over her shoulder.]

I thought you said there were ten!

[Seven is still a lot. And if he keeps trying to pull her closer, Chrissy is probably going to end up in his lap- which wouldn't be the worst development, but would absolutely make it difficult to watch the movie.]

Does being in 3D make it scarier?

Well, 7 good ones. There's three others that are okay.

[Jason is more than happy to have Chrissy in his lap. With his arm recovering more and more every day, it's nice to be able to pull her close.]

Not really. Just makes all the blood look pink.

How much am I going to regret asking to watch all of them?

[She genuinely has no idea, but for better or worse, she's going to trust Jason's taste in movies. She's also going to at least attempt to stay out of his lap. For now.]

Okay, that sounds really dumb. Like hot pink?

Not at all because it means you get to spend time with me.

[Jason places one arm over her legs, but doesn't pressure her to move anywhere she doesn't want to.]

It's like coral. I guess if you watch it 3D, it looks fine, but any other format and it's this weird pink.

You're cute. And I can spend time with you even when we're not watching weird horror movies.

[This one is pretty weird, too. And as it turns out, Chrissy's desire for more closeness is strong enough to overrule how careful she was trying to be about not pushing for too much too soon. She scoots into Jason's lap and settles back against him with a content little sigh.]

I do like coral. Do you think we could actually watch it in 3D?
